The academy qualifies as a provider for step up scholarships

Sebring, Florida: The Academy at the PARC has been approved as a Step Up Education Provider. By partnering with Step Up for Students, the Academy becomes a provider for eligible families to receive scholarships, making it simpler and financially more viable for a wider range of students to receive tuition support for the Academy’s services.

“We specialize in whole body learning, by implementing the head-heart-hands pedagogical model”, says Founder Colleen Paul-Hus, and mother of four children at The Academy. “Not only are the majority of our students at or above grade level, they are learning with ease and joy.”

The Academy’s Administrator Gabriele Beland was asked: “What makes this possible?” “There are a few key ingredients here; our natural setting, joyful educators, academics mixed with hands-on learning, and compassionate communication with each and every child.”

About the Academy at the PARC:

Located on 40 pristine acres which serve as an inspiring backdrop, the children do “bookwork academics” in the morning and explore the “practical arts” in the afternoon. This year, students will be introduced to mixed media arts, woodworking, gardening, blacksmithing, nature survival, archery, engineering, innovation design, and more.

Now in its second year, the Academy offers youth and adult learner’s classes in the practical arts as well as being a resource program for homeschoolers.

The Learning Pod at the Academy at the PARC just opened to the public after a successful trial last year and serves a maximum of 30 children and their families for the 2022-2023 Academic year.

“If this sounds like a good fit for your child’s education,” says Paul-Hus, “please call us to schedule a tour.”
